[buddypress-dev] Still Having Problems With Profile Pictures

This is getting quite frustrating. This *IS* something that's  
confirmed working right?

I grabbed the newest version of MU (WP2.5) and BuddyPress (this  
morning). Fresh install on new server. Logged into my admin account  
and attempted to upload a profile picture. Got this error message:

"Unable to create directory  
/var/www/vhosts/dimensionsites.com/httpdocs/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/. Is  
its parent directory writable by the server?"

I next made sure blogs.dir was chmod 777. Also I changed the  
directory's owner from apache to dimensionsites (the owner of all the  
other folders). Still same error message.

I next tried to upload a pic via Write Posts. Still same error message.

I then created a folder called 'files', chmod 777. When I did this,  
Upload A Pic via Write Posts worked. But when I attempted to upload a  
profile pic, the results page DIES right after displaying the submenu  
(tried this in multiple browsers).

I'm stumped at this point. Happy to give complete access to the test  
site to anyone. Thanks.
