 Welcome to trac and thanks for your ticket!

 Could you try this with all plugins disabled and a stock WordPress theme?
 We have [https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-
 develop/blob/a44943546ca6259279f2632b1b4890bd7cc5ca22/tests/phpunit/tests
 /rest-api/rest-pages-controller.php#L133 automated tests] to verify that
 all posts are returned, including child posts, when doing a regular
 request to a hierarchical post type.
