 Note:

 This is related to the thought I have below. It seems to make sense to put
 this in the dashboard and provide the UX folks with information like
 recommended PHP version. Because a picture is worth a thousand words, I
 believe color coding would be very helpful. Just to throw out some - maybe
 bad ideas as I know there is color blindness out there:

 Green - Good - display positive message, you are up-to-date (WordPress
 recommended minimum version)
 Yellow - OK - display cautious message: could be better, but not the end
 of the world (PHP supported version)
 Red - Danger! - display urgent message: Upgrade version ASAP.
