 You can rant whatever you want but at least be fair in what you say. I get
 that you want WordPress to handle SVG's but you must know that only a
 small percentage of WordPress users will use it. Also uploading plugins &
 themes is only for admins and if we would allow SVG's then it also works
 for other roles with the upload capability. I can only recommend that you
 put your effort in writing a patch then ranting on this ticket. Who knows
 then it can be added in 4.6.

 Also WordPress can run on PHP 5.2 but it doesn't recommend it. Forcing it
 to the user will result in a security risk for those users.
