 Hi @jpdavoutian - Thanks for the ticket, and welcome to WordPress Trac!

 It would be helpful to hear more about how you think this feature would be
 implemented, and how you'd use it. There are a number of plugins doing
 something similar to what you've suggested, and they're "tricking"
 `WP_Query` into fetching content from elsewhere using the `posts_request`
 and `the_posts` filters. See eg
 https://github.com/10up/ElasticPress/blob/develop/classes/class-ep-wp-
 query-integration.php#L55 Can you say more about how your approach would
 differ, and what advantages it would offer beyond these existing
 techniques?
