 WordPress now supports emoticons (aka smileys) & emojis which have
 different implementation.

 None of those options is available via any selection menu, which would be
 nice especially for emojis, as they are quite hard to include in a post.

 Currently one has to find an emoji on the web, copy the correct symbol (so
 not the image itself, but the proper unicode character, which sometimes is
 a square in the browser) and paste in into WordPress. Some emojis have a
 colon notation like :airplane: (airplane with colons surrounding it), but
 that's even harder to find and learn - a hover with that text might be
 helpful for learning.

 So, an emoji/emoticon chooser would be a great addition to the visual
 editor.
