 I would be perfectly happy if we could implement the directory filter
 portion of this and talk about the rest later. I don't see any downside to
 allowing a filter of the directories. If there is some "after-locating"
 functionality that is desired later, I think we could open another ticket
 for that and discuss it. However, the fact of the matter is, six years
 later, we still can't get basic template files out of the root of our
 themes. I will gladly put some hours in if we can come to the consensus
 that this is something we want.
