 I agree that breadcrumbs are a good idea (if properly implemented), and
 help users (especially novice users) better understand the layout of the
 admin panel.

 For what little it's worth, here's both a screenshot to how these look in
 Drupal 8, as well as a link to an article on how the Drupal community
 implemented them in Drupal 8.  I realize that that a lot of details in the
 article won't apply to WordPress, but sometimes it's good to see things
 from a different perspective.
