 A fresh install of the 4.4 RC release (or the current trunk code) to a
 localhost subfolder fails with dozens of "Table doesn't exist" errors on
 wp-admin/install.php?step=2

 The only table created successfully is wp_termmeta.  A subsequent repair
 attempt (following WP_ALLOW_REPAIR constant definition) also fails.

 An equivalent installation of 4.3.1 on the same machine works fine.

 I apologize if this is already a known/resolved issue.  If not, let me
 know if there is a need to detail my server configuration.
