Comment:

 I am clearly voting for the title tag in Terms that it supports SEO and
 the UX. I really would love to see this Feature back again.

 Plugins are not a really good Option. It should be avoided to decrease
 WP's functionality and afterwards increase it again with a plugin. That is
 never a good way.
