 It's not that it's never going to be fixed, it's just that the correct fix
 takes time because it needs to be spread out across several versions. If
 you look at the [http://make.wordpress.org/core/2013/07/28/potential-
 roadmap-for-taxonomy-meta-and-post-relationships/ potential roadmap] you
 can see the plan all laid out. It's taking longer than we had hoped, but
 we're making progress. I think the next step is #22023, which was
 dependent on #17689, which was fixed in 4.0.
