 Auto-focus only really makes sense when it's the natural only thing you're
 supposed to be doing, and then only on a page that is short enough that
 you wouldn't want to hit the space bar in order to scroll. Anything else
 and you end up irritated (admittedly power-) users who mindlessly hit
 space and begin to curse at the clunky UI that is imposed upon them.

 Imho, the plugin installer screen doesn't qualify for either of these two
 criteria.

 Plus, it would be inconsistent with the other WP admin screens, where
 auto-focusing doesn't occur.

 Suggesting close as wontfix.
