 This is feeling good to me, solely barring that the search is not
 debounced so if you type a huge long string of gibberish it can appear
 that the spinner is stuck. But I'm going to call that an edge case that
 only really happens when somebody (like me) is testing, and if we want to
 fix it, something to do on a new ticket.
