 {{{21990-subclass.2.diff​}}} doesn't touch class-simplepie.php, and
 instead modifies {{{fetch_feed()}}}.

 Note that registering the sanitization class isn't enough, as
 {{{$feed->sanitize}}} has already been instantiated as the default SP
 sanitization class. So after registering, I explicitly instantiate the
 subclass over top of that.
