Comment:

 WordPress already has "Paste from Word" functionality to allow for the
 ability to take text from a Word document and paste it in, stripping out
 Microsoft's crazy bad rich formatting. Beyond that, this kind of
 functionality is not a focus of WordPress or its core development.

 I would say it would make a great plugin, but I doubt it would get much
 use. Worth a shot, if anyone is interested, I suppose.
