 That is absolutely wicked! :D

 Instead of this:

 {{{
         294                     $custom_taxonomies = array_diff(
 $taxonomies, array( 'category', 'post_tag' ) );
         295                     $this->taxonomy_columns = array_merge(
 $this->taxonomy_columns, $custom_taxonomies );
 }}}

 Why not just set `'show_taxonomy_columns' => array( 'category', 'post_tag'
 )` when registering the 'post' post type?
