Comment:

 I don't think that this is a bug. You have to consider the fact that an
 Admin might want to have another file as the default page. Let me just
 give you a few examples.

 1) You want to have a splash page.[[BR]]

 2) You want to use ASP.NET for authentication in front of WordPress
