 When editing a Page, uncheck both comments and trackbacks options. Then
 update and you'll find that comments is still checked.

 When editing a Post, uncheck both comments and trackbacks options. Then
 update and you'll find that both comments and trackbacks are still
 checked.

 Verified on a fresh copy of 3.3 beta 4 -- no 3rd party plugins or themes
 installed.
