Comment:

 I just came across exactly the same issue now and can't believe that such
 a major bug that produces really unexpected behavior has not been fixed
 for 4 years now!

 It looks like as there are already patched available:
 so what's the reason why they don't get integrated into the main system
 for such a long time?

 Is there any planning when this will get fixed?
