 This seems to be related to a bug with plupload's silverlight library.  It
 doesn't like the image_resize checkbox coming through as a null value.
 See [attachment:ie8-plupload-silverlight-resize-off.png] and
 [attachment:ie8-plupload-silverlight-resize-on.png] for an example.  The
 patch on #18540 should resolve this.
