 It's foolish to require such a fundamental aspect to have to be duplicated
 by each plugin, and it doesn't keep the plugins from accidentally creating
 incompatible routes. If it were handled by core that duplication that
 ''every'' custom post type plugin would need to implement and those
 potential incompatibilities would be (effectively) eliminated.

 Not having URL routing for custom post types in the core will result in a
 worse chaos in the admin vs. less. Please favor the users on this one.
 You wanting the plugin to define the URL routes is akin to letting ever
 can on the road control when the traffic light is green.
