Comment(by Dan1045):

 wp version 2.8.6.

 Behaviors present with or without plugsin active. We tried deactivating
 them all then turning them on one by one. With no plugs active this
 problem still presented. Adding them back in one by did not change the
 behavior.

 We tried changing to the default theme and behavior the same.

 We had 17 pages published, when published page 18 and 19 this started
 happening.

 Tried the canonical plug in and that did not fix the problem.

 tried the permalink tweaking plug in and did not change behavior.

 When logged in to any user in the site, you can see the pages. When
 coming in from outside the site gives the firefox error and also addes
 20-50 pageviews to the stats when this happens.

 We deleted the last two pages and then published them again and it fixed
 the problem for about 48 hours, then problem came back.

 We have purused all the fixes, cookies, plugsin, htaccess rewrite..we are
 at a loss.

 thanks for the help.
