 Yes, that worked beautifully.

 I am still getting some little delay when loading the singular Edit Post
 page, but it might be acceptable. It looks like it's getting bogged down
 in wpList.process(). The code seems to be doing something similar to the
 Quick Edit, adding submit handlers to subform elements.

 Looks like the most interesting parent in the call stack while it's
 spinning is [http://trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/wp-includes/js/wp-
 lists.dev.js#L315 this .each] in wp-lists.js.
