 I have three objections:

 First, there is not demand for such a short URL.

 Second, the WP document HEAD has already more than enough stuff in it as
 it is.

 Third, it is very easy to do with a plugin.

 Consequently, I suggest WONTFIX.

 (There is a probable fourth objection as well:  the guid forwarder is not
 supposed to be used like this.  It is supposed to change, e.g. when you
 switch to another platform.  The permanent URL is supposed to be the
 prettified permalink.)
