 Haha, I think you guys are still missing the original point, which is to
 NOT RELY ON A THIRD PARTY.

 It might even be adequate to advertise the existing "guid" forwarder.  For
 example, http://blogyul.miqrogroove.com/?p=5679 isn't the shortest URL in
 the world, but it saves over 60 characters and already provides canonical
 redirect.
