 Do you have PHP Errors enabled/being displayed?

 Try adding
 {{{
 define('WP_DEBUG', true);
 }}}
 to your wp-config.php file temporarily to see if that lets any errors show
 up.

 Another possibility is, do you have a 'index.php' file in your plugins
 directory (ie. wp-content/plugins/index.php) - I have a feeling it can be
 caused by that..
