Comment:

 Don't think this can be improved. When a parent is assigned to a page, the
 page is displayed under that parent and then gets the dashes before the
 title. In most cases that would move the page off the current screen to
 the next/previous one causing it to "disappear". That would be more
 confusing to the user.
