 The default theme seems to be ignoring / not processing the redirect for
 logged in users.

 I tried moving the

 <input type="hidden" name="redirect_to" value="<?php echo
 attribute_escape($_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]); ?>" />

 Code outside of the if block for the logged in / not logged in user check,
 but it made no difference, the page still did not redirect with a logged-
 in user.

 Remains an issue in 2.6.1.
