 When installing wordpress on a vanilla 64 bit Debian Sarge LAMP system, I
 bumped into the default 8M php memory limit. No feedback at all, just the
 install.php page that refused to load. I had to fiddle with executing it
 on the command line and seeing it run out of memory to see wat the problem
 was.

 An installer script with a builtin php memory check would be nice. That
 would save quite a bit of hassle.
