As per a post I found here
http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/11845/showing-up-my-custom-post-type-in-primary-navigation

Someone commented "WordPress (3.2) does not currently provide a way for
you to add custom post type archive page into the navigation."

Does anyone know if there is any plans to change this behaviour ? and
possibly add this functionality into the core wp_nav_menu function ?
