[wp-testers] the_author_posts_link problems

I'm finding that on a somewhat random case by case situation that
"the_author_posts_link" doesn't link to the author's page of their posts,
but links to the url that they have set as their home page.

This one is a link to the person's homepage:

http://www.myconfinedspace.com/2008/09/27/super-dog/


and one is a link to the person's author page:

http://www.myconfinedspace.com/2008/09/27/chemist-song/


Any ideas?
