[wp-testers] Posts still stalling when I hit publish...

Just overcame this issue.

It's more of a workaround than a solution.

First, exported my stuff using WP's export feature.
Then wiped out my database.
Reinstalled WP Beta 2.
Reset all my settings and options and everything (plugins, plugin options,
theme, etc).
Imported the XML file from previous export.
Found out I'm missing about 8 months worth of posts (maybe because I moved
from MySQL4 to MySQL5) so I did the following in phpMyAdmin:
Emptied the tables for wp_posts, wp_comments, wp_terms, wp_term_*, and
wp_links.
Imported the separate backup files for above tables. Of course, backing
everything up was the first thing I did. To be able to properly import the
tables I emptied, I removed the option to create tables because it's already
there. Dropping the table then creating them using the backup file gives a
syntax error.

Updating and Publishing posts do not cause any issues anymore.

Support from 1and1.com isn't really helpful as they would need to login to
the WP account to be able to duplicate the problem. I didn't bother to
respond to them anymore. Unless someone would have the patience to do so,
but I don't.

Anyway, hope this helps. Shoot me an email if you want more information.

Happy Hunting!
