Not to further cloud the issue, but I was experiencing a maximum execution time error using WP as a CMS (ver 2.51). Upgrading to 2.6 solved the issue for me. Also, I find using Gears the WP admin is extremely fast. I have only used 2.6 on 4 different sites or so however. Adam
