Now that 2.7 has gone gold, and great job with that btw, does development of
2.8 start straight away? Since the .1 & .2 versions are made only to fix
security flaws and etc aren't they?

Also is it still correct that to get the auto updater to start updating into
the next dev version you have to bump the version number to "2.8alpha" ?
