[wp-testers] How long does the Auto Update take?

I installed the plugin that Ryan mentioned on the post publish hanging
question

raw and got curl streams Fopen Fsockopen. Would that have anything to do
with auto-upgrade plugin upgrade hanging or the request for credentials each
time?

On a client site, auto-upgrade and plugin upgrades hang. I got the
trackback.php error as well. Also WP asks for credentials in this install.
For both auto-upgrade and plugin upgrade. I haven't seen that on other
installs.
