[wp-testers] WordPress 2.2.3 - Category problems

Apologies for lots of emails, I've found another issue. Before I upgraded to 2.2.3, I was using 2.2.2. All my categories were showing in my sidebar, after upgrade, only 3 are showing. I'm using this to populate my categories list <?php wp_list_cats(); ?>

The 3 links showing on my sidebar are the 3 categories that are missing when I edit my links.

There's something weird going on with the new Links category too. I have 8 links, 4 hidden, 4 on display, only 1 of the links on display automatically went to the links category, 3 of the ones not displayed went into the category. Therefore, not displayed on my sidebar on my blog. When I edit the link to add it to a category, it's already got the link check box checked. However, only 3 of 6 categories are showing in the right hand sidebar in the edit page.

Editing the link and saving (without making any changes) makes it show in the category and therefore in the sidebar on my blog.

Adding a category in manage categories does make the category appear in the edit links page.

I upgraded to this build, it replaced the uncategorized category which I had previously removed. I deleted the uncategorized category again and it said it was going to move all my posts to General (which is the default), but none of the posts moved to general and they are still showing as uncategorized on the blog page (www.flyingkiwis.co.nz).

I can manually change the posts to general, but there are a couple of hundred in the uncategorized category that no longer exists, please help. General is showing as having 2 posts in the admin>manage.

thanks

Dawn
