Yes you do.

Firstly disable the captcha plugin in SK2 so that people can't recover
themselves.

Then install this plugin for SK2
http://blog.ftwr.co.uk/wordpress/sk2-moderate-plugin/

That will make SK2 take into account the following WP options:
"An administrator must approve the comment (regardless of any matches
below)" (under Options ... Discussion)
"Comment author must have a previously approved comment" ( also under
Options ... Discussion)

By default SK2 overrides all the builtin comment moderation controls
with it's own ones.
