To be honest though, when I was running 2.1-alphaX's during it's stages 
before it was officially released. I usually just manually changed the 
version itself anyway after I downloaded the SVN updated files to 
computer. So for example: 2.1-alpha1 became: 2.1..... 2.1-alpha2 was 
just changed to: 2.1 ..... Of course I just left the rev number alone 
though.. IMHO, it's really no big deal per se..
