That may well have been me actually, I may have edited my .htaccess file
wrongly and forgotten about it (but I don't think so), meh. Silly
WordPress...

Somehow the Rewrite rules must've got messed up/cleared, it might've been  
that WP couldnt load an option and crashed(And then the cache kicked in  
and cached the invalid values?).
Pure speculation really though.
