Just wanted to share some things with ya'll. Octa and I have spent a day in the forums already...coming up with the "fixes" for the default theme. Numerous support requests were inregards to the 1px footer or header shift, if not in IE6, it was Firefox.

I just spent today applying the fixes and such to the "original" default 1.5 theme. Here below is what I had "fixed" and "changed" for this theme.

1.) The search button will be up beside the search input field in Opera, Internet Explorer, and Firefox.

2.) That ugly 1px footer and header shift is fixed, while viewing in Opera, Internet Explorer, and Firefox.

3.) You will have everything in the sidebar, listed on all the pages, instead of just the index page.

4.) I have also added some of the original CSS coding from the header.php file, right into the main style.css file. I was going to try to do that with all of the codes, but for some reason, IE6 just didn't want to work with me. =( Go figure right?

I had also cleaned up some of the CSS file. =P

5.) I made this default 1.5 Widget friendly as well. =) I replaced the original functions.php and sidebar.php files, with the ones from this zip: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/widgets.zip

I have screen shots of the "problems" and such, and of course..I'm running the "fixed" version of it on the demo blog now.. =) I hope maybe this can be added to the next version of WordPress 2.0.4 or something. =) Download links are there too..

Enjoy! Please let me know what ya'll think too..

Also, download the Default v2.5 theme version I made up, maybe that could go into 2.1 or 2.2...whatever it will be lol.. That also has the "Fixes" applied to it, among a few other things.. =)
