[wp-testers] how do I change the upload directory?

2.1. Yeah in 2.0, it's not; just add this to wp-config.php:

define('UPLOADS', 'directory/directory');

it's relative, of course, so if wp-config is located in
http://yoursite.org/blog, the uploads would go to
http://yoursite.org/blog/directory/directory/YYYY/MM/filename.ext
