Google may be a brand but Jabber is the framework. It would be fine to
replace the text with GTalk/Jabber.

Regarding the other two, it's a fair point but if it's for the sake of
completeness of services that are used we should add a few others.

I definately think adding ICQ and MSN is just a required addition.

Did some one write a ticket on trac yet?
