[wp-testers] 2.0.1 and php 5.1.1

Getting some people on italian forum that are unable to make upload
images working... 

They have 777 permission on wp-uploads but in some case it doesn't
create upload dir or it uploads images but they won't show up in
editors, just the text name.

Everyone with troubles use PHP 5.1.1.

Any suggestions or idea?
