[wp-testers] "Categories"

I still think that categories and tags are fundamentally different:
Categories are used to organise and structure your site into seperate,
heirachal sections. Tags can be used to describe the properties of a
post and would be completely independant of the category of the post.

Wikipedia's definition of a tag: "Tags can be used to specify
properties of an object that are not obvious from the object itself.
They can then be used to find objects with some desired set of
properties, or to organize objects."

The examples I described in an earlier email show this (cateogry:
news, tags: politicis, germany, government) , as well as the example
of a movie review (category: reviews, tags: harry potter, fantasy,
wizards, magic, broomsticks) show how categories and tags can (and
should) exist side by side.

Having just 'tagories' (nice word btw!) would make a Wordpress site
difficult to navigate and difficult to structure in any meaningful
way. (in my opinion)

Cheers - Stuart.
