The 1.5 branch isn't necessarily stable; it's just less unstable than
trunk.  If commits are going in for a point release, the branch can't be
considered stable.  The repository in general, both maintenance branches
and trunk, should be considered unstable.  If you're getting it from
subversion, you're getting risky bits.  If you're concerned with
stability, only update from tagged releases.
