Hi, I'm working on a Wordpress website that has been in place for
about two years, and some of our more unique sidebar navigation needs
a re-working given updates to the Wordpress base code. In particular
I need someone who knows a bit about cookies as well as about
Wordpress & php.

PROJECT #1

The site is at http://thenovelette.com

On the sidebar and in the table of contents, we've got a list of the
posts. This list is supposed to be in Category ID order, and then
under each Category the posts for that category are in forward-chron
order (which is managed by a Custom Field, rather than by the Post
Date). On the sidebar, cookies are supposed to manage things so that
a visitor only sees the table of contents up to the point she has read
(in forward-chron order, which is how the site is organized).

But, something has gone wrong and now the sidebar does NOT restrict by
cookies -- every post ever written is shown -- AND the categories are
in name order, not ID order. Within the categories, the posts are
just as they are supposed to be, in terms of being associated with the
correct category and in the correct order.

So, project #1 is to fix those lists so that the categories are in the
correct ID order, and so that the cookie (which does function properly
on the site's front page, where you're always directed to the post
that comes immediately after the one you last read) works properly to
limit the listings on the sidebar using that cookie.

PROJECT #2

Another creative-writing section of the site, http://blogelette.thenovelette.com
, is managed using another instance of Wordpress. We want to add
sidebar navigation that will put all the categories in order, and then
under the CURRENT category, all the posts in that category in forward-
chron order. Each post has only one category. I'd like this to work
so that if I add new categories, then I don't have to monkey with the
sidebar to fix it.

Each category name on the list should link to the category page. Each
post on the page should link to that post's page.

Neither theme is widgetized; I'd prefer plain old code that I can
paste into my sidebar php documents.

I'm working offsite for the next several days so please email me with
your interest and rate to complete the work. I prefer to pay by
paypal, upon completion of work.

I'm hoping to have these two projects completed this week. Thanks so
much.
