(BuddyPress Knowledge Not Required)

Greetings all.
I'm requesting assistance to add functionality to a MU site installed
with the latest BP (buddypress.org). I do not believe the following
request requires any in-depth knowledge of buddypress, but MU
experience would be required. This is probably a moderate request -
not minor... but you'll see that all the big pieces exist so this
isn't a major project either.
This project involves extending the already existing groups
functionality to create a frontend simple message board for group
members. I *DO NOT* desire full functionality of an entire forum, but
something *MUCH* more plain and more in line with the simple concept
already provided by Joseph Scott and Matt Thomas:
http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2008/01/28/introducing-prologue/
With the above theme as an example, I envision this as the easiest
solution to code to accomplish the goal (although i'm open to any
other suggestions):
1. When a new group is created, an new MU blog is created. The admin
of the MU blog is the same MU user that created the group.
2. Assuming you used prologue as a guide (or the theme itself),
members of the group/blog would see the message box to type in
messages. Those who are not members of the group/blog would not see
the message box but would see posts.
Again, we are only talking about mostly FRONT END functionality since
the creation of groups, invities, and basic group administration has
already been built and it works.
This would also be a great way to help out the BuddyPress project, as
I would think others would like to see a front-end to the groups
functionality. Time to help out the WP community and developers!
Anyone interested in this project, please contact
dbisset at dimensionmedia.com as soon as possible with questions, rates,
etc. Many thanks in advance.
