[wp-polyglots] Strings and _c() function

In pot file from trunk there are many new strings where is pipe (vertical
bar | ). I understood from l10n.php that it separates string for translation
and description of that string, so we should not put pipe and translate
message right of it.
Is my statement true and if it is, is this applying for all that kind of
strings? Maybe some info should be put on Codex.
