Hi Daniel,

I don't know how they implemented it, but you could use the GD-Lib or Graphicsmagick to generate dynamic images on your own:

http://php.net/manual/en/book.image.php
http://www.graphicsmagick.org/

You "only" have to fetch the feed and generate the image periodically.
