[wp-hackers] Associating post_status with a Custom Post Type

One can register custom post statuses (register_post_status, I believe), but
they aren't well supported as of 3.1. For starters, the dropdown in the
Publish meta box is hardcoded, so saving a custom post status requires
either a custom meta box or jQuery workaround.
